December was fun and one week was really crazy.

This particular week was very stressful at work and it didn't help I had been sick with a cold the prior two weeks. Lots of people called off, then I found out I wasn't running a job on the computer that I was supposed to be running, so there was this massive report I had to go through to get caught up.

The worst was that Tuesday our house was broken into (a week before Christmas). It was kinda funny: they opened nearly all the gifts, but didn't like them! The only one they took was the one Sammy bought for himself! But they did take our laptop. Which really sucked because it was in the bag with our backup external hard drive! So we literally lost *everything* from the computer! We don't have that backup! So that Wednesday, between that report and talking with insurance half the day, it was stressful.

That Thursday night we had an ice storm - literally: there was 1/2 of inch of ice on the trees! And like a dumb ass I didn't move me car like I should have and a tree branch fell on my car knocking out the back driver's side window. I had been waiting for the city to lift the state of emergency so I could go to work! And we had plans on going to my parents two days later!

So I was once again on the phone with insurance, but my deductible was more than the cost of fixing it, so I just got it fixed. The wild part about that was that close to 70% of the city was out of power due to the ice storm including the shop I went to to get the windwo fixed. Any power tools they were using they used a generator out of the back of their company van to power!

Needless to say, everything has worked out in the end.

And the baby is finally starting to move so I can feel it! It's weird too! They are little pokes! But I know it's the baby because it's higher than my bowels (they say sometimes women mistake the baby moving for gas)! ^_^ But those pokes just started getting prominent tonight. I am in a loud, noisy bar, so it might just be that the baby is able to hear the music and is protesting - or trying to dance! ^^

So yeah. We got a new laptop with the insurance money and the windows are fixed and the car window is fixed and all is well with the baby moving. Yea, lots of changes! And we have the wedding planning going on - that is alot of fun! A bit stressful, but fun. It's not for another nine months, so we have time! ^^
